What a day. Wish you were there!
I'll let these snapshots speak for themselves:
Can you think of a more admirable excuse for missing a round of disc golf? I hope to redeem myself on the links tomorrow. Check back to see the picturesque Richmond Hill disc golf course.

Richmond Hill - week of 9/15
Yeah, I've been playing. Not at all well, but still playing.
Brian has taken me on a couple of rounds, which is a fairly accurate indicator of just how bad it has been. I don't remember the details, but I'd say my average this week has been over 20 over. Yeah, yuck.
I'm hoping to get out this afternoon to put Bri in his place and restore my self confidence. I'll be bringing a camera with me to better document the experience. After that, it is likely to be a disc golf free weekend thanks to Brewgrass!! Woo hoo!
Have a great weekend and enjoy yourself!

Richmond Hill - 9/11/08
Richmond Hill. I think I may begin referring to this course as "the office."
This past weekend I played Sunday morning with Ben and a gang of six, making the total nine (Dwight was there too). We played captain's choice, where the best throw/lay was chosen and you throw from there. It was slow, but entertaining. We broke off after the front nine and I think the change of pace helped our game. We still ended up five over, but we were only one over on the back.
On the bottom of this card you'll see my score from today. Nine over all together. One of my best. The icing came on hole six, where I sunk a seventy foot putt for birdie.
In the future I hope to bring a camera along with me to provide more compelling documentation of this great American pastime.

Richmond Hill - 9/3/08
A total of 27 holes were played, the front nine once and the back twice, and I was a total of 15 over par (5 over par for each 9).
Brian, Ben, and JC joined me.
This round included a couple of spectacular putts, including a 50'+ putt for birdie on 18. I would say that my putting was definitely "on" during this game. Repeat the mantra: "See the basket. There is only the basket. You must hit the basket, for it is all that is. Now throw, throw."
I promised Brian that I wouldn't discuss his game, so I decided I'd post the score card and let it do the talkin'. I don't know why the pictures are vertical, they wouldn't rotate.

Field Trip: Dayton, OH 8/30/08
This trip I introduced, and hooked, my good friend Damion to the sport - he bought himself two discs (Orc and Pro Pig) before I left. We played a total of 36 holes on Saturday at two courses.
Course: Blue Heron Course at Englewood Metro Park
Description: This course was just opened within the last 5 months or so. The design and layout is nicely matched to the terrain. Many holes with trees and a couple with narrow fairways. The more open holes had very defined fairways with long, grassy rough. Some nice views of the nearby lake.
Holes: 18
Tees: Gravel/Rubber (fly18 tee pads)
Baskets: DisCatcher
My Score: 12 over
My Rating: 4.5
Course: Belmont Park
Description: The Dayton areas most played course. A hilly, mostly open course with the exception of large trees on a couple of holes. Long tees on four of the holes. Garbage cans on nearly every hole - a necessity rarely seen at other courses. Other fun facts: This course was used in the 1991 Disc Golf world Championships and the park used to be a landfill.
Holes: 18
Tees: Cement
Baskets: Mach3
My Score: 18 over
My Rating: 4.1
